Effective Date: April 7, 2026

Last Updated: August 12, 2026

At Sourcerer Events, LLC. ("Sourcerer," "we," "us," or "our"), we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Sourcerer mobile application, website at sourcerer.live, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Service. Please also review our Terms of Service.

1. Information We Collect

a. Account Information

When you sign in using OAuth authentication (e.g., Google or Apple sign-in), we collect your name and email address. We do not receive or store your Google or Apple account password.

b. Location Information

With your explicit permission, we collect your approximate device location to display events near you and provide mapping features. We do not store historical location tracking data. You can disable location access at any time via your device settings.

c. Usage Data

We collect information about how you interact with the Service, including venues you follow, events you save, view, or share, links you follow to third-party ticketing and event pages, search queries, screens you visit within the app, and content preferences. This data is used to personalize your experience and improve the Service. We do not serve or track advertisements.

d. Device Data

We may collect technical information such as your device type, operating system and version, app version, unique device identifiers, browser type, and crash reports.

e. User-Submitted Content

When you submit venue URLs, event information, reviews, or other content, we collect and store that content as described in our Terms of Service.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Service
  • Provide personalized event discovery and recommendations
  • Display nearby events using location data and mapping services
  • Enrich event listings with artist information from Spotify and YouTube
  • Respond to customer support inquiries
  • Send transactional communications (e.g., account confirmations, event reminders)
  • Send promotional communications (you may opt out at any time)
  • Analyze how the Service is used — both in aggregate and at the level of your individual account — to understand usage patterns, improve features, and personalize your experience
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents

We do not sell your personal data. We do not serve or track advertisements.

3. Third-Party Services and API Data

Sourcerer integrates with the following third-party services. Information may be shared with these services as necessary to provide the Service:

a. YouTube API Services

Sourcerer uses YouTube API Services to generate and display artist-related video search links. We use YouTube's API to query video content related to event artists and display links to YouTube videos. We do not store YouTube user data or access your YouTube account.

By using Sourcerer, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's privacy practices are described in Google's Privacy Policy. You may revoke Sourcerer's access to data associated with your Google account at any time via the Google Security Settings page.

b. Spotify Web API

Sourcerer uses the Spotify Web API to search for artist information, retrieve top tracks, album artwork, and preview audio clips. We use Spotify's Client Credentials flow (server-to-server) and do not access or store your personal Spotify account data. Artist and track data retrieved from Spotify is cached to enrich event listings.

Spotify content is subject to Spotify's Privacy Policy and Spotify's Terms of Use. We do not sell, transfer, or provide Spotify data to advertising networks or data brokers.

c. Google Maps Platform

Sourcerer uses Google Maps Platform services for venue geocoding, mapping, and location-based event display. When you use mapping features, your interaction is subject to Google Maps Additional Terms of Service and Google's Privacy Policy.

d. Firebase / Google Authentication

We use Google Firebase for account authentication. When you sign in with Google, Firebase receives your authentication token. This is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

e. Cloud Infrastructure and Analytics

We use cloud hosting providers (e.g., Render, AWS) to host the Service and store data. We use PostHog, a product analytics platform hosted in the United States, to understand how users interact with the Service (for example, screens viewed, events saved, searches performed, and links followed to ticketing or event pages). This analytics data is associated with your account when you are signed in, and with an anonymous identifier when you are not. PostHog may also capture replays of in-app sessions to help us diagnose usability problems; text you type into input fields is masked and not recorded. These service providers process data on our behalf and are contractually obligated to protect your information.

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to maintain your session, remember your preferences, and understand how you use the Service, including analytics identifiers set by our analytics provider (PostHog). Third-party services integrated into Sourcerer (such as Google Maps) may also set their own cookies. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings, though some features may not function properly if cookies are disabled.

5. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

  • Service Providers: With trusted third-party service providers who assist in operating the Service (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics, email delivery), subject to confidentiality obligations
  • Legal Requirements: If required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request
  • Safety: To protect the rights, property, or safety of Sourcerer, our users, or the public
  • Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, in which case you will be notified in advance of any change in ownership or control of your personal information
  • With Your Consent: When you have given us explicit permission to share specific information

6. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by:

  • Using the "Delete Account" feature in the app settings
  • Emailing us at info@sourcerer.live

Upon receiving a deletion request, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain information by law. We may retain anonymized, aggregate data for internal analytics purposes.

7. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest
  • Access controls limited to authorized personnel
  • Regular security monitoring and vulnerability assessments
  • Secure cloud infrastructure with industry-standard protections

No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. International Users

Sourcerer is operated from the United States. If you are located outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.

We comply with applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for users in the European Economic Area and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) for California residents.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email, in-app notification, or by posting a prominent notice on the Service at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
